200 Hour Yoga TTC with Yin and Vinyasa flow is a very unique multi-style teacher training course in Bali. This combination offers the practitioners to experience the Yang (masculine side) and Yin (feminine side) every single day of their course. Vinyasa Flow which will be mainly covering the Yang side, will go through different types of flow targeting different parts of the body. The students will learn how to sequence the flow along with practising it on a daily basis. The dynamic sequences that link movement with the breath helps to build strength, create flexibility and challenge the body in a strong way. Yin Yoga will be mainly covering the Yin side, where one has to hold one posture for 4 – 6 mins. As one surrenders completely to the posture, it will start releasing tension from the deeper connective tissues like ligaments, joints, fascia.

Vinyasa flow will work on strengthening the muscles whereas Yin Yoga will help to release tension and improves flexibility in the deeper tissues.  Both of these complimenting practises when done together will help to prevent injuries, aid in muscle recovery and helps to create a more long-term sustainable practise. In this course, not only will you practise these two forms of Yoga but also learn the science and philosophy behind these practises. You will also learn how to sequence a class and use the props for safe practise.

What is Yin Yoga?

Most forms of Yoga that we see today are dynamic and active practices mainly designed to train the masculine half of our body also called as the “Yang” tissues. Yin Yoga reflects on the deeper “Yin” tissues appreciating the feminine side of our body. These tissues comprise of ligaments, joints, deep fascial networks and even our bones. The goal of Yin Yoga is same as any other school of Yoga. Yin Yoga is simple but simplicity has become the most complicated thing to do in the modern world where every human is running after better productivity at work, family and social life. Yin is to stay in one posture, reflect and surrender on all aspects of life and release any stored heavy energies in any parts of the body. The fundamental concept of Yin Yoga comes from the principles of Taoist tradition of ancient China. It talks about Yin being a yielding, allowing and nourishing aspect of our body and mind. Adding Yin to our daily Yoga practise can improve our mental clarity by providing us the required amount of stillness and thereby creating a proper balance.

What is Vinyasa flow?

Vinyasa Krama Yoga or Vinyasa Sequence flow is a style of Yoga where you connect one posture with another seamlessly without compromising on your breath. Yes, breath plays a very vital role in this form of Yoga. This style of Yoga is evolved from the traditional Hatha Yoga practise and has become very popular in the modern world of yoga. This style of yoga was created by T Krishnamacharya who emphasized the importance of linking breath with every movement of body. Compared to traditional Hatha practise where one posture is held for maximum time to improve the steadiness and stability, Vinyasa Yoga helps to create more fluidity in the movements. A typical sequence includes active warm ups of sun salutations, standing postures, balancing postures, backbends and wind down in seated stretches. Today, Vinyasa Yoga is the most widely practised yoga style due to its creative nature. This Yoga style allows you to design a beginner friendly flow or an advanced more challenging flow based on the type of practitioners. This style of Yoga helps to build strength, mobility, agility and improve blood circulation to each and every part of the body.
